In Belarus identified priority areas of scientific-technical activity by 2020
 by the decree of the President defined what areas should be developed in Belarus science and technology.
Alexander Lukashenko on April 22 signed a decree №166 "On priority directions of scientific-technical activity in the Republic of Belarus for 2016-2020". the
"the Developments carried out within the priority areas, will be developed at the enterprises of real sector of economy and in the organizations of the social sphere that will contribute to improving the competitiveness of knowledge-intensive sectors of the national economy, the preservation and development of promising scientific schools", - it was mentioned in the comment of the press service of the President.
In the decree defines nine main areas.
