Actually, the standard IPX7 means that the device can not be afraid of sweat and water splashes, and its getting in water is highly undesirable. However, the authors of the blog DC Rainmake decided to check what will happen with the Apple Watch, if placed in a liquid substance. To do this, they conducted three different tests: the first gadget was placed in a special waterproof camera, in the second test author test swam with them in the pool, and at last dared to three jumps from the tower (with five-meter height, and once with ten).

As you can tell from published YouTube videos, smart watches coped with the test more than adequately. They continued to work after all the experiments, but DC Rainmake still advises users not to abuse hours water-resistant properties, the cost of which comes to $17 000, "just in case".
