the Dream of those who always dreamed to have in the garage own jetpack, can be considered half-fulfilled: Martin Aircraft Company promises to release the first flying jetpack to reach a wide retail, in 2016. The bad news is that the price of the jetpack will be expensive — about $150 000. This publication reports DailyMail.

This aircraft was developed by company more than 35 years, and the project originated in the imagination of the new Zealand student Glenn Martin. Testing the first prototype flying jetpack from Martin Aircraft took place in New Zealand in 2011 when he successfully climbed to a height of over 1000 meters, and then fell to earth with a parachute.

last week at the Paris air show, the company showed an advanced version of the device — P12. Existing today, the prototype is equipped with a V4 engine with 200 horsepower and can fly for over 30 minutes at speeds up to 74 km/h Maximum altitude of 1000 meters. Flying jetpack can lift loads weighing up to 120 kilograms.

the Device was developed with the aim to become the most easy to control the aircraft: its control is used only two joysticks and one touch. It is assumed that the jetpack can be used for private flights and for rescue or military operations.

According to the head of Martin Aircraft, the first deliveries of flying rigs will begin in the second half of next year. Its customers include private companies, government and unnamed "playboy millionaire".
