Rapid robot Cheetah has learned to jump over obstacles

U.S. Agency defense advanced research projects (DARPA) continues to develop new robots and improve existing ones. A new version of the robot Cheetah Cheetah 2, for example, trained to overcome obstacles, moving at very high for an overweight mechanism speed. Over time, the robot will be able to jump higher and further.

A new version of the robot Cheetah Cheetah 2, for example, trained to overcome obstacles, moving at very high for an overweight mechanism speed. Over time, the robot will be able to jump higher and further.

In the published video describes the algorithm that the robot uses to determine the parameters of the obstacle and overcome it. Cheetah 2 in the test races were able to jump over a few obstacles of different heights at first, with insurance, and then without it.
