450 penguins are ready to show your reflection.

a Rather strange invention can be seen in the art gallery bitforms gallery in new York. Or rather it just be called a mirror of mechanical penguins.



On the floor in one of the premises of the gallery placed 450 small toy penguin on platforms with motors. They are all United in a single chain-driven computer. That, in turn, receives information from the 3D camera on the ceiling.

You come to "the mirror", the camera sees your silhouette and passes it to the computer, which then rotates the penguins. These birds were not chosen randomly, but because of contrasting plumage is white in front and black in the back that allows you to create a sharp silhouette of a man and generate any other figures on the field.
