4G Network built by the joint venture "Belarusian cloud technologies" (beCloud) in accordance with the presidential decree dated 13 December 2012 No. 556. The launch of the network of the fourth generation into operation is the result of the successful implementation of the investment project and the effective cooperation between the state and private business. The launch of the LTE network — the first phase of a major project upgrading the entire telecommunications infrastructure.

"the 4G Network is just the beginning. For our country is very important in telecommunications and in the IT field to quickly move on. Because the rate of change of technology in the modern world is fantastic", — said the assistant to the President Vsevolod Yanchevsky.

At the start of operating the LTE Advanced coverage will provide 150 base stations, which is quite enough for confident coverage on the territory of Minsk. Also in 2016 the technology will come in regional cities: Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev, by 2020 in regional centers and other localities with population not less than 50 thousand people.

Network LTE Advanced, developed by beCloud, can be used with all mobile operators.

"Today we are opening the first part of the network of cellular mobile telecommunication fourth generation technology LTE, which is another milestone in the development of the telecommunications industry in the Republic of Belarus. This long-awaited event for the telecommunications community in the country. LTE technology will allow to receive not only traditional services, such as video content, to view TV programs in real time with high speed and high quality, but also to develop entirely new services" — said the Minister of communications and Informatization, Sergei Popkov.
