the Russian Association for the protection of copyright on the Internet has filed a lawsuit against the social network "Vkontakte" because of the presence in its pages of illegal copies of the book by Zakhar Prilepin "Abode". In parallel with this, the offered ASAPI "Vkontate" to require the users documents when you download content, including passport information.

the Logic of the copyright holders is as follows: demanding the removal of illegal content, they are obliged to prove their identity and to present documents confirming the rights to the content. Appropriate conditions should be spread to the ordinary users, who upload music, videos and documents on the servers of the social network. By performing these actions, they must submit documents proving their right to work and also complete identifying information.

"We want the court obliged the administration of "Vkontakte" to limit re-posting of the content on their own, without additional direct claims by right holders", — the official site of ASAPI.
