Twitch has redesigned its video player and added interface elements written in HTML5 and Javascript. The video stream while still controlled by Flash, but the company claims that this is an important step towards the transition to a full HTML5 player, which will be much safer written in Flash.

Chapter Facebook security urged to abandon this technology, and Firefox a few days blocked Flash until they were released patches to close a dangerous security vulnerabilities.

the Slow death of Flash technology back in January of this year accelerated YouTube. Then the video made my HTML5 player the default player.
