Study: 20% of Belarusians do not use the Internet

According to the Information-analytical center at the presidential Administration, 54,5% of Belarusians can't imagine your day without a mobile phone. Internet users are 64.5% of citizens over 18 years of age, slightly above last year's figures — 62,5%, BelTA reports.

According to the Information-analytical center at the presidential Administration, 54,5% of Belarusians can't imagine your day without a mobile phone. Internet users are 64.5% of citizens over 18 years of age, slightly above last year's figures — 62,5%, BelTA reports.

Every second Respondent coming online almost daily, and 10% on a weekly basis. The proportion of respondents who use the world wide web several times a month, is 4.5%. Among active web users, the majority — 41 percent — are young people aged 18-29 years.

47% conducts daily online between one and three hours, every fifth active user (22,5%) spends from three to six hours daily, 7% spend online six to twelve hours. Not use online services or spends at less than one hour one-fifth of users (19,5%).

77,5% access the Internet with the help of computers from a landline modems, computers with 3G modem used by 16% of respondents. With the help of mobile phones and smartphones in the network is 43% of respondents, tablets — 12%.

the Poll was conducted in all regional centers of Belarus and in Minsk city, district towns and rural settlements from 26 March to 6 April 2015.
