Doubt that Nokia intends in the near future to sell its mapping service Here, no longer remains. However, the ultimate buyer is still open. One of the most likely candidates for this role until recently was considered Apple, but now as the most serious potential buyer considers Facebook that the partner has already started to test Here in the mobile version of your site.

Also Facebook and Nokia are testing the map service into Facebook Messenger and Instagram for Android. The company did not officially announce the preliminary purchase agreement, but the publication TechCrunch reported about the confirmation from Nokia for the existence of certain agreements:

"I can confirm that we test Here maps in the Android versions of some of the individual apps, including Instagram and Messenger, — said the representative of a unit Here. — We want Here maps users liked Facebook".

Nokia has announced the desire to sell Here last month. As potential buyers, in addition to Facebook and Apple, are considered Samsung, Yahoo, Uber, Baidu, Alibaba and German automakers. The opportunity cost is estimated at several billion dollars.
