Americans promise to multi-terabit Internet for airplanes and ships

the American communications company ViaSat announced the launch of a new platform based on satellites to provide high-speed Internet in any location. This will apply satellites ViaSat-3 that guarantees bandwidth over a terabit: it's more than the total bandwidth of all other commercial satellites combined.

American communications company ViaSat announced the launch of a new platform based on satellites to provide high-speed Internet in any location. This will apply satellites ViaSat-3 that guarantees bandwidth over a terabit: it's more than the total bandwidth of all other commercial satellites combined.

Partner in the project is the company Boeing, in conjunction with which by 2019 will be launched the first satellite, ViaSat-3. With their help it is possible to provide high-speed Internet access for passengers in aircraft, ships on long voyages, oil platforms and in remote areas, where cable is impractical to carry out.

currently the total throughput satellites ViaSat is 140 Mbps.
