While it is unknown who will perform in the tape main roles and who should sit in the Director's chair. But it is reported that the shooting of the film will start in March 2016 in the Dominican Republic. Earlier the filming of the new "Zorro" was developed 20th Century Fox Studio, and among the Directors were Bryan singer (the Director and producer of the series "X-Men") and Gary Witt (screenwriter of "the Book of Eli").

"Zorro" has almost two dozen film adaptations of different years. The last of them at the moment — the film "the Legend of Zorro" with Antonio Banderas was released in 2005.
