Windows 8.1 Owners can decide what to do with upgrades: upload and set automatically; automatically download to the timing of the installation; to check for updates and choose when to download them and install; never check, no download and no install. In Windows 10 the right of poorer choices: check, download, install, automatically restart or choose restart.
