Microsoft was sure, that already in December this year it will roll out an update for Windows Phone 8 that will turn the system into Windows 10. However, the plans will not come true — the update is delayed.

According to a statement from Microsoft, users of Windows Phone 8.x will be like with this system on their phones in the beginning of 2016. The release date of the updates to Windows 10 the company did not name.

At the moment on the market there are only three phones that work on the new Windows Lumia 950, Lumia 950 and Lumia XL 550, lists the resource PhoneArena. The site also lists the devices on which Windows 10 will appear next year: Lumia 930, Lumia 830, Lumia 735, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 640, Lumia 540, Lumia 535, Lumia 532, Lumia 435 and Lumia 430.
