German Bundeswehr Scientific Institute introduced a new type of camouflage for the military: figure Multitarnmuster virtually guarantees the invisibility of soldiers in night vision devices. It will replace the pattern Flecktarnmuster, which was used in the early 90-ies of the last century, reports SlashGear.

Developed pattern involves the use of camouflage in desert terrain in countries such as, for example, Afghanistan. Flecktarnmuster, in turn, was more suitable for conducting military campaigns in Europe and, in particular, in a wooded area. The development of the new pattern has been operating since at least 2011, when it was announced the work on it.

However, the main advantage of camo is the pattern, almost invisible to night vision devices, which absorb infrared radiation with a wavelength of 700-1200 nanometers.
