Belarusians will be able to call Microsoft and complain about a company that uses pirated software of the company. About it the correspondent Onliner.by according to General Director of the Association of information technology Dmitry Ananiev.

According to him, the country has a unified number by which good citizens can tell about copyright infringement. Typing +375 (17) 202 38 22 (EXT. 106) or by sending an email to ceenmsamc@microsoft.com the Belarusian may share information about usage of unlicensed software, selling computer or laptop with pre-installed unlicensed software. As noted by Dmitry Ananiev, the phone will take information about incidents of piracy with Microsoft products.

Specialist for Microsoft to prevent the risks from using unlicensed software, which replied to the correspondent Onliner.by on the above phone number, explained that thus will be accumulated complaints, including anonymous, to both legal and natural persons who use illegal programs. But kind of specialists will be considered violations by legal entities, because they use pirate software for commercial purposes.

After the call the professionals will first conduct an internal audit, find out, bought the firm, which has been accused of piracy, the license for Microsoft products. Then the company will guide preventive and explanatory letter, which will explain what could face for using pirated software where to buy a license for it and with which partners of Microsoft in Belarus can cooperate. If the company does not want to work in this direction jointly with Microsoft, for warnings may be followed by an appeal to the authorities.
