this year there were many rumors that Sony is working on a re-release of some classic games for the console last generation. Recently the company confirmed that the PlayStation 4 will be able to play with PS2 titles. But not because of the reissue, but thanks to the emulator that will run on the new console.

"We are working on a technology that emulates a PS2 to transfer games on current generation consoles", — said the representatives of the company in short comments Wired. At the moment of these games are available in a collection of old titles in the Star Wars universe. And the new generation of emulated games look a little better in terms of graphics than running on a native PlayStation 2.

Earlier this month, backward compatibility with the previous console generation got the Xbox One. The owners can run Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Fable 2 and many other hits, developed for the Xbox 360.
