He tried to move almost all the mechanics of the original game: inventory, special skills, destructible environments, and a simple level editor to create different maps. Of course, any graphical frills in office software speech can not go. As explained by the Creator, the events of the game takes place in the time interval between the original XCOM: Enemy Within and XCOM 2.
