As stated the higher ranks in the American army, this test was an important milestone in the programme of life extension of the B61 bomb-12 who have demonstrated the efficiency of the system in real conditions. There are still two test that will allow us to draw definitive conclusions about the relevance of this nuclear bomb.

B61 was developed during the cold war in 1963 in new Mexico. Last modification index 11 was adopted in 1997.
