Chinese military scientists have developed a new coating for aircraft, which means they will be even more difficult to detect using radar. Popular Science argues that innovative design adjusts to the radar decimeter and centimeter ranges just like the skin of a chameleon changes its color.

Now hide planes from radars in two ways: a special geometry of the body that reflects radio waves away from the receivers, and materials that absorb the waves, converting them into heat. These technologies are used in modern stealth aircraft, but they have a drawback — low efficiency against UHF radars.

the Chinese have managed to make the material thickness of only 7.8 mm, which absorbs radio frequencies in the range of 0.7 to 1.9 GHz. It is noteworthy that public development was not due to leakage of top-secret materials, and as a result publication in a scientific journal.
