According to the authors of the new theory of time, our universe is like a movie, in which a sequence of still frames creates the illusion of movement. This illusion we accept as real continuous movement of time.

Scientists say that their hypothesis can be tested experimentally. For this purpose it is necessary to measure the rate of spontaneous radiation of an atom of hydrogen. The equations of the new theory give a different metric compared with a conventional. The same applies to the speed of the particle decay, unstable atomic nuclei.
