As you can see in published by the makers of the video, the battery is a linked "chain" of small batteries, which under physical pressure can be stretched to 150% its original size without any consequences for the level of charge. Such opportunities will fall by the way when creating a smart watch: if you put kirigami-the batteries in the strap, users can easily drag the device from the wrist to the forearm (say, during sports).
