Scientists: fast food destroys beneficial intestinal flora

the British Experience of the Professor confirmed the theory that the balance of bacteria in the intestine depends on the overall health of the person.

Professor of genetic epidemiology at king's College in London Tim Spector believes that regular meals in fast food outlets can lead to death in the human gut bacteria responsible for the process of metabolism.

Long time scientist have been studying the effects of junk food (burgers, fries, chips) on the microflora of the intestine. During one experiment, the researcher conducted a test in which in the form of a test were his son. For 10 days he fed him in a fast food restaurant.

Before starting the experiment, the researcher estimated that in the bowel son was about 3.5 thousand species of bacteria. After ten days Spektor Jr. lost about 1.3 thousand of microorganisms, adding that in the weight 2 pounds.

"the Majority of microbes in our intestinal tract is extremely important for our health. Bacteria are responsible not only for our digestion, they help us to monitor the calories we take in, and provide us with vital enzymes and vitamins, - said the Professor.

the Experience of Spector confirmed his theory that the balance of bacteria in the intestine depends on the overall health of the person. Imbalance causes many kinds of diseases, including diabetes, heart disease, obesity,  and senile dementia.
