At least, so think researchers from General hospital of Massachusetts, which initiated the testing of tablets in 20 patients with excess weight. They hope that intestinal microbes originating from feces of another, overweight transplanted patients, will contribute to weight loss.

Every day for six weeks, volunteers will ingest a few grams of lyophilized feces of another, while the scientists will track the weight of his subjects, says BGR. Scientists admit that they still are not sure what will be the result of the experiments, but are very optimistic.

According to Arstechnica, such donor intestinal microbes have been used to treat intestinal infections are tenacious.
