NASA intends to cooperate with the International potato center [it is a real and official organization — approx. Onliner.by] to explore the possibility of growing potatoes on Mars. In the framework of the project, scientists will create on Earth conditions as close to Mars and will develop a mixture that simulates the soil of the red planet (as the basis is taken from the soil is one of the deserts in Peru), reports CNBC.
