the First detailed photograph of the surface of Pluto is made from a distance of approximately 77 thousand km. it depicts the youngest mountains, which the researchers met in the Solar system. Their age is approximately 100 million years.

in Addition to photos mountain the surface of Pluto, NASA published a picture of its largest moon, Charon. For transmission to Earth of all the pictures and measurements that have made New Horizons, will take nearly 16 months.
