the National aerospace Agency of the USA has conducted successful tests of the airplane wings that can change their shape through the use of flexible composite material. Technology will save on fuel by reducing the weight of structures, and provide a faster takeoff and landing aircraft.

To underscore the importance of NASA technology ACTE from the point of view of the impact of flights on the environment. It is argued that adaptive wings can be installed on existing aircraft and to develop new models to take advantage of ACTE.

the Agency is pleased with the results, as during the tests did not raise any serious technical problems: this indicates the effectiveness of the technology, which has been under construction for 17 years.
