NASA has revealed new images of Saturn and Ceres dwarf

Distant planets caught in the lens of Dawn spacecraft and Cassini.

Located at a considerable distance from Earth to the planet Saturn and Ceres are trapped in the lens of the Dawn spacecraft and Cassini. Acquired images published by NASA.

the Dawn Probe was launched into space in 2007, since then the apparatus was time to explore one of the largest asteroids – Vesta and took pictures of the dwarf planet Ceres. The photos clearly shows a cluster of white spots, but to explain what these spots are and where they came from, scientists still are not able to.

the Pictures were taken at a distance of about 13.6 thousand kilometers with a resolution of 1.3 km/pixel. Now Dawn performs the task of producing maps of Ceres. Already on June 6 he will come down lower orbit at an altitude of 4400 km and take photos of better quality, including the capture and mysterious bright spots.

the Cassini spacecraft occupied by studies of the troposphere of Saturn. On the website published a picture taken at a distance of 2.5 million kilometers from the planet. Although the image of Saturn seems calm, according to scientists, its atmosphere, its constantly there is an active flow of gas. And they move at a speed of about 1.8 thousand km/h.

Saturn is a giant planet, which mostly consists of gases. Fixed hexagon storm on its surface equal to the diameter of the Earth and formed a jet vortices, which hold the perimeter of the storm and create a region rotating around the North pole at a latitude of about 77 degrees.
