After a two-year program to update the large hadron Collider was started again. According to CERN, through the modernized TANK already passed the first proton beams in both directions. It is noted that this year scientists mainly will test the Collider, and the main study will begin closer to the second half of next year.

Upgrade of the Collider was conducted in order to improve energy collisions of protons from 8 to 13 teraelectronvolt. A similar energy level will open new opportunities for the study of matter, and some physicists expect the discovery of new significant for humanity particles. The following "off" Collider will take place relatively soon after three years.

the Large hadron Collider was built in 2008 on a 100-meter depth on the border of France and Switzerland. He is a 27-kilometer circular tunnel. Collider is a particle accelerator colliding beams intended for acceleration of protons and heavy ions.
