At the household level, it is known that dogs are more loyal cats who behave indifferently towards the man. They do not see their owners source protection, making them more independent animals. This thesis British scientist from Lincoln University were able to prove in practice.

In the experiment, scientists have studied the relationship between 20 cats and their owners. They put the cats in an unfamiliar room together with the owner, with a stranger or left them alone. All three scenarios were evaluated different characteristics number of contacts, which was an animal, signs of stress from lack of host and passive behaviour. But no attachment to a particular person scientists have not noticed. Cats only meow often, when there was the owner, not a stranger.

Scientists expected that in a new environment, cats will try to be closer to the host, will show signs of stress in his absence, and rejoice in the return. About the way dogs behave in similar tests. But cats such behavior was observed. Scientists believe that their independence is more concerned with the nature of these animals as hunters-singles.
