Royal Observatory of Greenwich in the UK chose "space" photos that will compete for the title of best astrophotography. In the short-list of collected amazing pictures of a starry sky, moon and Sun, and galactic objects.

Before the competition Commission is faced with a difficult choice from more than 2700 images taken by photographers from 60 countries. Topics for the competition were "Man and space", "Our Moon", "Our Sun" and "Galaxy". Winners will be announced on September 17 of this year.
